Concern started when the express train was changed to an all stations service and arrived at Morrisset about 20 minutes late, then much later than planned at Gosford.
However, a regular bus service from Gosford station to the wharf and the captain of Lady Kendall holding the departure meant that we were only 15 minutes commencing the cruise. From there it was smooth sailing, with entertaining commentary by the captain on the history and points of interest that we passed
We traversed Brisbane Waters via Woy Woy Channel and the Rip Bridge. After enjoying the sites of Killcare, Hardy’s Bay and Ettalong Beach, we turned around just past Wagstaffe Point.
The return journey too us back around the North side of St Hubert’s Island, then a quick stop at Woy Woy to pick up our fish-n-chips lunch while cruising back to Gosford Jetty, thence back to Morisset by bus and train.
All in all – a Great Day Out!
